Here there are few shortcuts and tips for working in the start screen of the Windows 8 OS.
- · Windows 8 OS Start screen tiles by adjusted by changing the sizes, where they are located, and what is listed.
- · Tile can be moved by clicking and dragging the tile. When we are moving a tile, if we need a larger view of the Start screen move the tile towards the top for zooming in or bottom of the screen to zooming out.
- · Use your mouse scroller for scrolling from left-to-right over tiles on start screen.
- · Shortcuts and programs available on the desktop can be pinned to the Start screen by right-clicking the icon and choosing Pin to Start.
- · Zooming out can be done by using the magnifying glass with tiles available in the bottom right-hand corner of the start screen of our desktop. If we have a group of related tiles then it can be organized together by right-clicking on a group of tiles then user will be given the option to name group (e.g. games). In this view, you can also click and drag a group to organize your tile groups.
- · A new speed bump can be created between tile groups by moving a tile to a speed bump.
- · User can resize any tile by simply right-clicking the tile and choosing resize option.
- · If any tile has to be moved to the taskbar of the start screen then right-click the tile and choose Pin to taskbar.
- · Show admin applications on the Start screen by clicking Settings in Charms, click Settings, and change the Show administrative tools from No to Yes.
- · In Internet Explorer 10, you can also pin any of your favorite web pages to your Start Screen.
