Now latest version of Linux Operating System is going to be available in mobile. Ubuntu's open-source operating system-based smartphones is going to be available in market as soon as possible . This news is updated by shuttleworth.  According to them, the new smartphone with Ubuntu OS will be rolled out in October later this year.

The updated timeline provided by Canonical is comparatively sooner than the time-frame provided earlier that stated the availability of Ubuntu smartphones by Q4 2013 or Q1 2014, which was given after the announcement of the mobile version of the open source OS. But So far, it is not yet clear which smartphones brand will run Ubuntu, but it is been rumored  that the developers are working with the OS on Samsung's Galaxy Nexus device. Thus, mobile lovers can expect Ubuntu OS to support Android smartphone chipsets. The WSJ suggests that a number of carriers are interested in the new OS-based mobiles, but Canonical has not yet decided its sharing partner.

CNET has stated few points which informs that Ubuntu OS will be using same drivers as Android smartphones and it will be capable of running on entry-level devices. This OS will use the native applications, which allows developers to create a single application for the desktop and the PC  which blurs the line across the smart devices. The Ubuntu OS also supports the swiping gestures that are seen on the newly launched BlackBerry 10 mobile.

Though Canonical launches the Ubuntu mobile OS this year, the company will have tough competition to meet its opponents such as dominant Android, iOS and the recently launched BlackBerry 10 smart devices. On the other Microsoft is also about to launch its Windows OS later this year, so this team has to work hard to be credited.
